Call of Duty players get a fresh look at all the chaos coming to Vanguard and Warzone with Season 2’s mid-season event in a new trailer.
While Season Two is in full swing, Sledgehammer Games isn’t slowing down when it comes to bringing fresh content into Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone for players to enjoy. Tea call of duty mid-season refresh, Reloaded, is set to bring some big changes and fresh challenges for players to dig into between the Rebirth Island update to the new Arms Race mode. Ahead of Reloaded going live, Sledgehammer and Activision have given players a quick glimpse as to what they can expect when they log in on March 23 with a new trailer.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is Sledgehammer Games’ third entry in Activision’s long-running series with the studio serving as the lead developer. It takes the series back to World War 2 as players fill the boots of a special forces unit sent into Germany to stop a secret plot from within the Nazi ranks to ensure the Reich survives. Warzone also received an update with the addition of Caldera, an island in the Pacific Ocean serving as the third map for the battle royale mode alongside Verdansk and Rebirth Island.
However, Rebirth Island is the point of focus in the Season Two Reloaded trailer highlighting the aforementioned mid-season refresh. The trailer, narrated by Captain Butcher, shows off the three new areas being added to Rebirth Island for players to explore and fight within for useful gear. That said, the biggest addition may be the new weapon trade stations where players can swap out gear for fresh “shooters,” as Butcher calls them, in the hopes of winning the match.
The trailer also gives a taste of the chaos inside Arms Race, the limited time 12v12 mode where the teams will battle in the new Alps map. Butcher explains the teams will be fighting for control of five bases across the map or the Nebula V case dropped into a random point of the map. When a team is able to secure the crate, they can then call in a strike to destroy one of the enemy bases.
Additional content in the update include new Vanguard multiplayer rewards, Rebirth modes for Warzoneand new operator and cosmetic bundles including the Snoop Dogg bundle.
Reloaded couldn’t be coming at a better time for Vanguard and Warzone as season two hits the halfway point. The changes to Rebirth Island and the Arms Race mode highlighted in the trailer should help players see the season out as Sledgehammer starts gearing up for Season Three and whatever changes it will bring with it.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
